Our story began with disaster response and wildfire smoke
Jaspr started in the wreckage. Before launching Jaspr, Michael Feldstein spent years inside some of the heaviest wildfire smoke in North America — pulling mold out of flood-damaged houses, scrubbing the smoke from homes that weren't safe anymore, and restoring air to healthy levels in places thought to be lost. He started testing the air in his own home, saw what was actually in most bedrooms and living rooms, and watched homeowners try to fix it with consumer air purifiers. They couldn't. The purifiers he tried were too small for the rooms he needed to clean. What finally worked was a commercial air scrubber. The problem? It was big and loud, and not built for everyday use inside the home.
For four years, Michael developed Jaspr to be both aesthetically pleasing and highly effective. It had to be quiet and beautiful, and yet a commercial-style air scrubber, built for the home.
We've been bringing clean air to homes across North America with the mission of giving everyone the experience of breathing easier so they can live full, present, and healthy lives.

I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and now reside in Austin, Texas with my wife Rachel and three kids. I’m deeply passionate about air quality, pollution, and how both impact our lives, and I love building environmentally focused companies with two core values that will never change: Empowerment and Transparency.
